Consider OHV (Off High Vehicle) for off road E - Bike experiences

OHV as a place to ride off road electric bikes:

Buckhorn OHV Redmond/Sisters Oregon.

Today I checked out the single track trail system at the Buckhorn OHV staging area between Sisters and Redmond off HWY 126.

The trail system is mostly flat but technical. It winds next to the Deschutes river canyon with some nice vistas. I get a lot of questions of where you can ride an electric mountain bike. This trail is certainly relegated to those of technical skill, but certainly a fun adventure for those willing to endure rock gardens and tight turns. A regular Mtb or eMTb will find a fun challenging ride on this trail, system.  Be mindful of pedal stroke, especially in the rock gardens.

Most off road ebikes are suitable for this trail. I chose to ride the Stealth F37.  The F37 is more dirt bike than Ebike and I found myself enjoying the throttle and 3800 watts ripping through the banked corners and navigating the rock gardens with the throttle.

One major upside to visiting this trail was very few users were here. I jumped deer with the quiet of the bike and even though it is an OHV area I rarely heard the sound of engine once I was on the trail.

I was directed to the Buckhorn trail system by friendly OHV enthusiasts.
